TICKETS AVAILABLE:

For the Raffle a total of 2000 tickets are available, at a price of $10 each.

Tickets may be sold and purchased only in British Columbia.

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years of age or older.

1.   TAX INFORMATION:

Prizes are awarded tax free in Canada. The price of tickets is not deductible as a charitable donation for tax purposes in Canada.

2.   PERTINENT SALES CUTOFF DATES:

Online/Phone Ticket Sales will end on October 12, 2020 at 2pm.

3.   DRAW DATE:

October 12, 2020 at 3pm.

4.   PRIZE DETAILS:

• First Prize: A Private Day at the Refuge For Two Adults hosted by Shirley and Rob, co-founders of the Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge. The day will be during the open season of 2021 and will include a sampling of the day-to-day donkey care chores, a quick grooming lesson and time grooming the donkeys, lots of great information and stories about the donkeys from your hosts, a light lunch and free time to enjoy the donkeys and the refuge. Value: $400
• Second Prize: A Lovely Donkey Themed Quilt Pieced and Quilted by one of our volunteers. Measures 60” by 60”. Value $300
• Third Prize: A striking wrought-iron donkey themed weathervane donated by one of our supporters. Value $200

5.   ELIGIBILITY:

The following people are not permitted to purchase tickets in this lottery: board members and employees of Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge.

6.   RESIDENT/NON-RESIDENT PURCHASING RESTRICTIONS:

A non-resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia and if the ticket or a receipt is issued at that time. Tickets must be purchased through our online portal or by phone.  Tickets or receipts will not be distributed to, mailed or otherwise sent to a non-resident’s third-party address in B.C.

A resident of British Columbia may purchase a ticket only if the entire payment transaction takes place while the person is physically in British Columbia. When a resident of British Columbia is outside the province of British Columbia they may not place an order to purchase tickets. This restriction includes all methods of ordering tickets including mailing in your order.

7.   OTHER PERTINENT INFORMATION

All prize draws will be conducted in accordance with Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch – Standard Procedures for Ticket Raffles.
Each ticket is eligible for the possibility of winning one prize.

We respect your privacy. Turtle Valley Donkey Refuge Society protects personal information and adheres to all legislative requirements with respect to privacy. Information provided through ticket purchase will be used to deliver services and keep you informed on Refuge activities, including programs, services, special-events, funding needs, opportunities to volunteer or give and more, through periodic contacts.
