Our donkey sponsorship is a wonderful way to show your support for donkey welfare!. By sponsoring one of our donkeys you are helping the Refuge with:

• Regular veterinary check-ups and emergency care
• Regular dental check-ups and care
• Hoof trimming and ongoing care
• Hay and straw
• Special feed for underweight or special needs donkeys
• Warm, soft bedding and blankets
• First-aid treatment and supplies

Donkey Sponsorships make wonderful gifts – to yourself or to someone special who shares your love for animals and is concerned for their welfare. For only $50 you can sponsor one of our wonderful Ambassador Donkeys.

After checkout, you will receive your purchase receipt by email, and another email with your instant download link; we will follow up with your tax receipt for your donation in 2-4 weeks (the receipt is manually processed). Your digital instant download link will be sent via email (to the email you use to checkout) and if it is a gift, you can download the package and forward it to your giftee via email. All packages include:

• Photos of the Ambassador Donkey - sized to share on your social media or to use as a phone background or in your social media "story"
• Your Ambassador Donkey's Story
• One-Page Printable PDF with photo, story & Certificate
• a special gift icon that you can include if your sponsorship is a gift

Many of our long-time sponsors and our visitors develop a special relationship with donkeys that are not currently part of our Ambassador Donkey Program. If your donkey is not listed, you can select "My Special Donkey" and receive a general sponsorship package download link.

The cost of a donkey sponsorship is Tax Deductible and you will receive an official tax receipt (please note this may take 2-4 weeks because it is manually processed). Please note receipts are not transferable, and we are not able to receipt your donation to anyone except you.

Administration Notes - You will receive your receipt via email within 2-4 weeks, as this is not auto-receipted & must be processed by our administrative staff. Please note that if you are ordering physical items from the shop you may receive these items before your tax receipt is issued. If you do not receive your receipt within a month, please contact us!
